Best of Malaga and ‘Coast of the Sun’ Shore Excursion

Situated by the Mediterranean Sea, the Costa del Sol extends along more than 150 kilometers (95 miles) of coastline in the province of Malaga, in the southern Iberian Peninsula. Its name, the “Coast of the Sun”, is no accident: with over 325 sunny days a year this Andalucian coast offers plenty of bright days.

On the full-day tour from Malaga to the Costa del Sol we will visit several attractive destinations.  We will start with a drive through the city of Malaga where you will see sights such as the Alcazaba, City Hall, Fine Arts and Archeological Museum (old customs house) and Larios Street.  Next, its off to Marbella with its lovely cobblestone streets and shops, followed by a visit to the up-market marina district of Puerto Banus, a luxurious boulevard catering to Europe’s wealthy yacht community.

This will be followed by an orientation and free time in the traditional village of Mijas.  After a stroll in this lovely white village with its traditional architecture and Mediterranean views you will enjoy some free time for lunch and self exploration.  We will return to the ship in time for departure – expect a lovely day in sunny Costa del Sol!
